The long awaited but short creole festival, let's dissect it!
Well, well, well, many were looking forward to Dominica's 10th Annual World Creole Music Festival. This year was my first year attending and I was definitely looking forward to seeing CaRiMi in action again! I also wanted to see T-Vice and Tabou Combo.
T-Vice and Tabou Combo played well. CaRiMi's performance was superb!
Shaggy was good too, especially because all the songs he performed are favorites of mine and I know the lyrics to all of them as well.
Admiral T made a good first impression ... and he is also good-looking (unlike Bounty Killer, mander Bondieu pardon!).
I did not go to the show on Saturday but I listened to Wyclef Jean over the radio. I was not too impressed with what I heard, too much RnB!. He did not deliver what I expected. I hoped that he would have sang some of his solo creole songs instead of collaborative songs like, Hips don't lie.
Well the rain made it a little difficult but I did enjoy myself! My main interests were the compas groups and they did not let me down! Kitay compas marcher!!!!! Fanatik CaRiMi say blouw! Blouw! Blouw!
Please share your thoughts on the festival with us!
